Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and observe changes in condition
Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention measures
Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate concerns to the nursing team
Support feeding, hygiene, and comfort needs while promoting resident dignity
Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and help meet clinical goals

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant)
Active/state-appropriate CNA licensure or eligibility to obtain New Mexico certification
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
Vital signs measurement and basic patient observation
Infection control practices and safe body mechanics
Basic documentation and charting in clinical settings
Team collaboration and effective communication with residents and staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
