Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist patients with hygiene, dressing, mobility, and feeding as needed
Take and record vital signs and report any changes in patient condition
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics at all times
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
Follow facility policies, infection control procedures, and safety protocols
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (valid in Pennsylvania) required
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working night shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, assisting with ADLs, safe patient handling
Good observation skills to notice and report changes in patient status
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
Teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff and support personnel
Familiarity with basic charting and following care plans
