Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Variable days (per diem), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (Night shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Assist with mobility and safe transfers, supporting residents’ independence
Take and accurately record vital signs; promptly report changes to the nursing team
Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and resident observations
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect residents and staff
Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, residents, and families to support holistic care
Contribute to a positive, resident-centered environment that promotes dignity and respect

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (must be in good standing)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
Comfort working night shifts and on a per diem schedule
Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented approach to resident care
Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings

Education

CNA certification (required)
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and observing changes
Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with clinical staff
Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety
Familiarity with basic charting (electronic or paper) and following care plans
Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
