Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Support mobility by helping patients transfer, turn, and reposition
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Connecticut
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but new grads are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of patient care fundamentals and safety protocols
• Ability to build trusting relationships with residents and families
• Great observation and documentation skills
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
