Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Measure and document vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe mobility and transfers while following proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients safe
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient goals
• Deliver respectful and dignified end-of-life and family support when needed

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential; New Mexico CNA or eligible to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Reliable, with the ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical basics: vital signs, ADLs, infection control, and safe transfer techniques
• Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
• Accurate charting and documentation habits
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
