Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily imaging operations to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.
• Manage and mentor lead and senior technologists; promote staff development and maintain a positive team culture.
• Ensure image quality control and enforce departmental policies and procedures for all designated areas.
• Participate in budgeting, staffing decisions, and productivity planning to meet department financial goals.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22).
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and clinical teams to resolve issues and improve patient experience.
• Support program development and department performance improvement through data-driven recommendations.
• Maintain clinical competencies and perform diagnostic procedures as needed to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting.
• At least two years of supervisory experience in an acute-care setting; 3–5 years managerial experience desired.
• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services OR current ARRT license.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Desired: certifications in specialized areas (MRI, NMTBC or similar) a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and the ability to manage resources effectively.

Education

• Associate Degree (minimum required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography, patient positioning, and principles of radiographic exposure.
• Image quality control and radiation protection/physics/radiobiology.
• Regulatory compliance: Joint Commission, Title 17, Title 22, and ACR standards.
• Quality assurance and performance improvement methodologies.
• Staff development, supervisory skills, and radiology department management.
• Experience in acute-care imaging environments and cross-department collaboration.
