Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily living assistance to acute care patients, helping with mobility, hygiene, and comfort
• Monitor and report vital signs and patient status changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and fall prevention to ensure safety
• Support nursing staff with clinical tasks and documentation within CNA scope of practice
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming patient environment to promote healing

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Virginia
• Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience in an acute care or hospital setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient lifting and transfers for 12.5-hour shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care procedures and infection control protocols
• Skill in using vital sign monitoring equipment and electronic health records
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
