Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across the lifespan
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and response to treatment
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and airway clearance
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
• Current BLS certification (ACLS/PALS preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work flexible, as-needed shifts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Skilled in ventilator management and airway support
• Understanding of cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
