Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Observe, record and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, empathetic communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Active/state certification in New Jersey preferred or required as applicable
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and able to work per diem as scheduled
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass any required facility screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic resident care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
• Familiarity with infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents, families and team members
• Comfortable following care plans and documenting care accurately
