Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies during operations
• Maintain a sterile field and monitor compliance with aseptic techniques
• Help position and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety
• Inventory, restock, and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
• Support the surgical team with efficient turnover between procedures

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligibility to obtain certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• Previous experience in an operating room or acute care setting is a plus
• Must be adaptable and able to think quickly in a dynamic environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of sterile and aseptic techniques
• Familiarity with surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills for documentation
