Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to capture high-quality images for physician interpretation
• Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring their comfort and explaining procedures
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting as needed
• Review images for clarity and quality, and take additional views as required
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to safety and privacy standards
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care

Qualifications

• Certified or registry-eligible as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS preferred)
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous experience in diagnostic sonography is a plus
• Completion of facility-specific skills checklists and competency testing
• Ability to meet health and compliance requirements, including immunizations and drug screening
• Warm, professional demeanor with excellent patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in performing diagnostic ultrasound exams
• Strong understanding of anatomy and sonographic imaging
• Skill in operating ultrasound equipment and adjusting settings for optimal images
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
