Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Triage and assess patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and life-saving interventions as needed
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or a compact state
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC certifications required
• Prior emergency department experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• Compliance with health requirements including COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and critical-thinking skills
• In-depth knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and trauma care
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate patient-centered approach
