Shift Type: Various shifts; 36 hours/week, every other weekend (EOW) and holiday rotation (specific start/end times not provided)

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Triage and assess patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and life-saving interventions as needed
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or a compact state
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC certifications required
- Prior emergency department experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Compliance with health requirements including COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB screening
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong triage and critical-thinking skills
- In-depth knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and trauma care
- Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
- Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate patient-centered approach
