Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, promptly reporting changes
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Advocate for patients and ensure a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Alabama or compact state
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Prior Med/Surg experience is a plus, but all experience levels are encouraged to apply
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing standards and best practices
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients effectively
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare team
