Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly, reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote mobility and comfort
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and patient interactions
- Support the interdisciplinary team by communicating observations and participating in care planning
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification and active listing on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and required facility onboarding
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work effectively as part of a care team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fundamentals in patient care and ADLs
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
- Basic understanding of infection prevention and safety procedures
- Good communication skills with patients, families, and team members
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
- Familiarity with electronic charting is a plus
