Travel Physical Therapist - Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Meridian, Mississippi
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Day
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients in a skilled nursing setting to restore function and mobility
- Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care based on each patient's needs
- Document all services accurately and in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care and compliance
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs in accordance with state practice acts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, families, and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards at all times
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
- Active Mississippi PT license or willingness to obtain one before starting
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Comfortable and flexible adapting to different facilities, schedules, and patient needs
Education
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient evaluation and functional assessment
- Treatment planning and implementation
- Direct patient care with a focus on restoring mobility
- Accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic healthcare environment
