Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that improve quality of life
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute your clinical expertise

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active West Virginia state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus
• A passion for helping geriatric patients achieve their highest potential

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dysphagia assessment and treatment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and families
• Ability to develop creative and engaging therapy sessions
• Proficiency in documenting and maintaining accurate medical records
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
