Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 hours/week, no weekends)

Hours per Week: 40

Bill Rate: $40 - $42.90/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet each resident's unique goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to help residents improve communication and swallowing function
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
  • Educate residents and families and document progress to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility)
  • CCC-SLP preferred
  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings preferred
  • A heart for working with older adults and a collaborative spirit

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in dysphagia, aphasia, and cognitive-communication disorders
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Empathetic communication with patients, families, and staff
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities
