Speech Language Pathologist - Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Clemson, SC
Start Date: 08-31-2026
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 hours/week, no weekends)
Hours per Week: 40
Bill Rate: $40 - $42.90/hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet each resident's unique goals
- Provide direct therapy services to help residents improve communication and swallowing function
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Educate residents and families and document progress to support positive outcomes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility)
- CCC-SLP preferred
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings preferred
- A heart for working with older adults and a collaborative spirit
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in dysphagia, aphasia, and cognitive-communication disorders
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Empathetic communication with patients, families, and staff
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities
