Speech-Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: As needed (per diem), flexible shifts; 8.5-hour shift length
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech-language assessments to pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, physicians, and nurses
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed
- Educate and support families and caregivers in carrying out therapeutic techniques
- Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to treatment planning
Qualifications
- Current Oregon state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and create evidence-based treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic hospital environment
