Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, 6-hour shifts, as needed (no set weekly schedule)
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients
- Create personalized treatment plans to help each child reach their communication goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to provide comprehensive care
- Document patient evaluations, progress, and outcomes accurately
- Support and educate families so they can reinforce therapy at home
- Contribute to a compassionate, team-oriented healing environment
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Active BLS certification (required)
- Strong clinical evaluation and treatment skills
- Experience with pediatric patients preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with pediatric rehabilitation and family-centered care
- Proficient in documentation and electronic health records
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients and families
