Speech-Language Pathologist - Pediatrics
Location: Spokane, Washington
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, 6-hour shifts as needed
Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans to meet each patient's goals
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a pediatric setting
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to coordinate care
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to support communication at home
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for every session
Qualifications
- Current Washington state Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience with pediatric patients is a plus
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, child-friendly environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong foundation in speech and language development
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Proficient in electronic health records and clinical documentation
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
