Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients and their families
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures in the pediatric OR
• Prepare the operating room, ensuring sterile field and equipment readiness
• Monitor patient status throughout the surgical experience
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Document intraoperative care accurately and thoroughly

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• PALS certification preferred
• OR experience, especially with pediatric patients
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced OR
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the surgical team
• Compassionate approach to caring for children
