Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients
• Assess respiratory status and implement individualized treatment plans
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor and document patient responses to therapy, adjusting treatments as needed
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in Ohio
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• New graduates welcome; prior pediatric or acute care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Understanding of ventilator management and airway clearance techniques
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-acuity situations
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
