Respiratory Therapist
Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week with potential for every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across all hospital areas including medication administration and emergency response
- Manage both invasive and non-invasive ventilator support for critically ill patients
- Perform arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary hygiene procedures
- Assist with intubation procedures and provide hyperinflation therapy
- Transport critically ill patients with artificial airways safely throughout the facility
- Coordinate home oxygen assessments and ensure seamless patient transitions
Qualifications
- Current RRT or CRT credential required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Active Colorado state license
- Experience with ventilator management and emergency response protocols
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Respiratory modalities and medication delivery systems
- Emergency response and intubation assistance
- Ventilator management for invasive and non-invasive support
- Arterial blood gas interpretation
- Pulmonary hygiene and hyperinflation techniques
- Safe patient transport protocols
