Registered Nurse - PCU/MedSurg/Oncology

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
- Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
- Float to same-level PCU and MedSurg units to support patient care across the facility
- Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
- Manage ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring equipment with real-time training support
Qualifications
- Active RN license with at least 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred
- EPIC experience within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
- Valid driver's license required at time of submission
- Open to first-time travelers who meet experience requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Comfort working with diverse patient populations and cultural backgrounds
- Willingness to learn advanced monitoring equipment including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and ICP
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and genuine compassion even during challenging times
- Proficiency with Alaris IV pumps and lift equipment
