Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Prescott Valley, Arizona
Start Date: 06-29-2026
End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients across a 30-bed unit
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to patient needs
- Collaborate with the care team to support patients recovering from surgery and managing complex medical conditions
- Precept and mentor nursing students, helping shape the next generation of caregivers
- Float to Multi-Care and Pediatric units as needed, expanding your clinical expertise
- Monitor stable CPAP and BiPAP patients while delivering holistic nursing care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience, telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts
- Willingness to care for both MST and PCU level patients
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Med Surg nursing fundamentals
- Precepting and teaching nursing students
- Caring for patients with COPD, pneumonia, post-surgical needs, and withdrawal protocols
- Adapting to floating assignments across multiple units
