Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms to ensure patient safety
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to telemetry patients
• Respond quickly to cardiac events and collaborate with the care team
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips and equipment
• Document patient progress in Meditech and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients and families on heart health and recovery plans
• Support procedures like chest tube insertions and paracentesis

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kentucky or a compact state (NLC)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience preferred
• Comfortable caring for patients in a 36-bed telemetry unit
• Ability to work every other weekend and float to ortho/med-surg as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythms
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Skilled in chest tube care and dysrhythmia management
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
