Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, 12-hour shifts; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, and other cardiac conditions
Monitor telemetry and administer IV antiarrhythmic medications
Manage noninvasive ventilation and care for cardiothoracic surgery patients post-ICU
Float to Med/Surg or ER units as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

At least 2 years of SDU experience required
Current Oklahoma RN license or compact license accepted
BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Flexibility to float between SDU, Med/Surg, and ER

Knowledge & Skills

Step Down Unit nursing
Med/Surg and Emergency nursing
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Cardiac care including STEMI and CHF management
IV therapy and antiarrhythmic medication administration
Noninvasive ventilation support
