Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret telemetry readings for patients on the medical-surgical unit
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Provide compassionate patient and family education on health conditions and care plans
Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the EHR
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency protocols as needed

Qualifications

Current and active Registered Nurse license in the state of California
BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
ACLS certification preferred but not required
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work flexible night shifts as needed

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Skilled in IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration
Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
