Registered Nurse - PCU
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Start Date: 05-25-2026
End Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM equivalent (1830-0700), every other weekend, holidays rotate with perm staff
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate care to adults in a fast-paced PCU with mixed medical, surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients
- Titrate essential drips like heparin, octreotide, and insulin with confidence
- Interpret tele strips and collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and team members
- Manage frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges while floating to Med/Surg, ICU, or ED as needed
- Utilize advanced equipment like LUCAS machines and code carts to make a real difference
Qualifications
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC charting experience a plus
- Valid driver's license to confirm 50-mile radius rule
Education
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in titratable drips and tele monitoring
- Team-oriented mindset for high-flow unit challenges
- Comfort with 1:4 patient ratios and specialty equipment
- EPIC system savvy for seamless documentation
