Registered Nurse - PCU
Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Start Date: 05-25-2026
End Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, minimum 2 holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate care to PCU patients with cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke and renal conditions
- Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Nitro and Amiodarone with confidence
- Monitor and interpret tele strips independently
- Manage arterial lines and high flow oxygen setups
- Collaborate with charge nurses and techs in 1:4-5 ratios
- Float to MedSurg or ICU to support higher acuity needs
- Prioritize patient experience through responsive communication
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- 2+ years of experience
- BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications
- Competence in arterial lines
- EPIC charting experience a plus
Education
- RN licensure required, BSN preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge & Skills
- Titration of vasoactive drips
- Telemetry interpretation
- High flow nasal cannula management
- Cultural sensitivity for diverse populations
- Team collaboration and adaptability
