Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients as they recover from anesthesia
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth, safe recovery
• Educate families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Respond quickly and calmly to any changes in patient condition

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Washington State or a compact state
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Previous experience in PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts and adapt to changing needs
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of pediatric post-anesthesia care protocols
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and team members
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
• Ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, family-centered approach to care
