Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients on a 32-bed Med/Tele unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips to ensure patient safety
Titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, and Lasix
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage patients recovering from cardiac caths, EP studies, and pacemakers
Support patients with acute and chronic conditions including pneumonia, sepsis, influenza, and COVID-related needs
Float to PCU, Med/Surg, and ER holds as a helping hand when needed across the facility

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of PCU experience with proven ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
Epic experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac telemetry and strip interpretation skills
Experience with drip titration and cardiac medications
Comfortable caring for patients on BiPAP, trach, and Airvo equipment
Ability to manage 1:4-5 ratios with occasional overflow to 1:3 PCU-level care
Flexible and team-oriented approach to floating across units
