Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for Med/Surg patients
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (or compact license accepted where applicable)
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and practices
• Proficiency in EHR and documentation systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
