Radiologic Technologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem shifts, generally 12.5 hours, with day, night, and weekend options based on shift availability
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and other radiology exams
- Provide compassionate, child-friendly care to patients and their families
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and obtain optimal images for diagnosis
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshooting when needed
- Document patient history and imaging results accurately
- Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver exceptional outcomes
- Follow strict safety protocols and radiation protection standards for patients and staff
Qualifications
- ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R))
- Active Oregon state radiologic technologist license or eligibility
- Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Previous experience as a rad tech, preferably in pediatric or hospital settings
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of radiology positioning, techniques, and equipment
- Familiarity with digital imaging and PACS systems
- Understanding of radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate bedside manner with pediatric patients and families
