Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and other radiology exams
• Provide compassionate, child-friendly care to patients and their families
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and obtain optimal images for diagnosis
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshooting when needed
• Document patient history and imaging results accurately
• Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver exceptional outcomes
• Follow strict safety protocols and radiation protection standards for patients and staff

Qualifications

• ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R))
• Active Oregon state radiologic technologist license or eligibility
• Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous experience as a rad tech, preferably in pediatric or hospital settings
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of radiology positioning, techniques, and equipment
• Familiarity with digital imaging and PACS systems
• Understanding of radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Compassionate bedside manner with pediatric patients and families
