Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and interventions to improve mobility and function.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and families to align care goals.
• Document patient progress, outcomes, and response to treatment accurately.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and techniques to support continued recovery.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Florida (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply; experience in geriatrics or senior living is a plus.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is preferred.
• A genuine passion for helping older adults maintain independence and quality of life.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of physical therapy assessment, treatment planning, and modalities.
• Excellent documentation and clinical reasoning skills.
• Compassionate communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to individual resident needs.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on positive patient outcomes.
