Physical Therapist Assistant - Travel
Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy interventions tailored to each patient's plan of care and goals
- Document patient progress and responses to treatment with precision and care
- Empower patients through education and home exercise programs that accelerate recovery
- Communicate effectively with supervising physical therapists to ensure seamless care
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active state PTA license (or the ability to obtain one) - we will help if needed!
- Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- A genuine passion for helping patients restore mobility and improve their quality of life
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Physical therapy techniques and intervention strategies
- Accurate clinical documentation and record keeping
- Patient education and home exercise instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Infection control and safety standards
- Treatment plan implementation and adaptive thinking
