Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions as outlined in the physical therapist's plan of care
• Document patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition
• Assist patients with restoring mobility, improving function, and achieving treatment goals
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
• Communicate regularly with the supervising PT and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Texas PTA license or the ability to obtain one before starting
• Ability to implement treatment plans and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
• Passion for helping patients regain independence and improve quality of life

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapy interventions and treatment plan implementation
• Experience with patient documentation and progress tracking
• Adept at patient education and teaching home exercise programs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration
• Committed to infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance
