Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, and functional independence through therapeutic exercises
• Monitor and document patient progress, communicating updates to the rehab team
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming therapy environment
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Maryland
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient handling techniques
• Ability to read and implement physical therapy plans of care
• Excellent documentation and time-management skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Team collaboration and adaptability
