Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient exams, bonding, archwire adjustments, and other procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory rooms, maintaining strict infection control standards
• Take and process digital X-rays, impressions, and intraoral scans for orthodontic treatment
• Provide friendly, reassuring support to patients and parents throughout their visit
• Document treatment details accurately in Denticon and assist with patient records management

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Maryland, or willingness to obtain certification
• Experience in orthodontics is preferred, but motivated new grads are encouraged to apply
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Familiarity with dental radiography and practice management software (Denticon a plus)

• Solid understanding of orthodontic instruments, materials, and terminology
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control best practices
• Proficiency with digital imaging and electronic health records
