Roles & Responsibilities

• Take and document patient vital signs before and during procedures
• Assist the oral surgeon with nitrous oxide and IV sedation monitoring
• Capture panoramic X-rays to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Prepare the operatory and assist during wisdom tooth extractions
• Deliver clear post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dental assistant, ideally in oral surgery
• Comfortable monitoring patients under nitrous oxide or IV sedation
• Skilled in taking panoramic X-rays
• Ability to take vital signs accurately
• Excellent communication for guiding patients through post-op care

Knowledge & Skills

• Taking vital signs (BP/PulseO2 Sats)
• Nitrous oxide and IV sedation protocols
• Panoramic X-ray positioning and capture
• Wisdom tooth surgery assistance
• Post-operative instructions and patient education
