Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with bracket placement, wire adjustments, and retainer fittings
• Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions to support treatment planning
• Prepare and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and support chairside documentation
• Help create a warm and welcoming experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program and/or active dental assistant certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior orthodontic or dental experience is a plus
• Comfortable with dental software, digital x-rays, and sterilization protocols
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, brackets, and wires
• Skilled in taking impressions and digital scans
• Proficient in infection control and sterilization practices
• Comfortable with dental charting and patient management software
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
• Team-oriented with a positive and adaptable mindset
