Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, maintaining the highest standards of infection control
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed, helping with accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and brace care, empowering them to maintain a healthy smile
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment plans
• Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent preferred
• Current x-ray certification (Radiology Health and Safety) required
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of orthodontic instruments, procedures, and materials
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dental care team
• Understanding of dental sterilization and safety protocols
