Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch preventive dental care and educate patients on oral hygiene practices
• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to keep smiles healthy and bright
• Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Document patient care and assist the dentist during procedures as needed
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, welcoming clinical environment
• Partner with the care team to deliver an exceptional patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license (or compact eligibility where applicable)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental software and digital radiography preferred
• Strong patient communication and chairside manner
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene best practices and infection control protocols
• Skill in using dental instruments and equipment
• Understanding of patient privacy (HIPAA) and safety standards
• Strong interpersonal skills to educate and reassure patients
• Ability to multitask and support a smooth clinical workflow
