Roles & Responsibilities

Assist orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols
Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Qualifications

Active Dental Assistant certification or registration in Maryland
Experience in orthodontic assisting preferred but not required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
Proficient in taking dental radiographs
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and organized
