Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care including cleanings and periodontal maintenance
• Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
• Document patient care and update dental records accurately
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure patient comfort
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean environment

Qualifications

• Current Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred
• Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Proficiency with digital radiography and dental software
• Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and infection control
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
