Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients including cleanings and periodontal therapy
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and interpret dental radiographs (x-rays) to assist in diagnosis
• Collaborate with the dentist and dental team to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with infection control standards
• Create a comfortable and welcoming environment for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience performing dental cleanings and patient education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Understanding of radiography safety and techniques
• Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records
• Excellent patient care and chairside manners
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
