Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and cleanings to promote oral health
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed for diagnosis
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist the dentist during procedures and treatments
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Proficiency in taking and developing dental X-rays
- Strong patient education and counseling skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
