Roles & Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures to ensure smooth patient care
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for each patient
Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean workspace

Qualifications

Current Dental Assistant certification or licensure in Maryland
X-ray certification preferred
Experience with dental software and patient scheduling
Strong communication and patient service skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Commitment to providing excellent patient care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
Proficiency in dental radiography techniques
Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Team collaboration and adaptability
