Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living—bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding—with compassion and respect
Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff promptly
Provide safe, dignified patient handling and mobility assistance
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts and care plans
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times
Support admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed to ensure smooth transitions
Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current, valid CNA certification (Pennsylvania) — required
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Clear background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (lifting, transferring, standing)

Education

Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
Basic charting and documentation skills
Strong teamwork and communication with interdisciplinary staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
