Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Assist with feeding, toileting, and safe transfers while promoting dignity and independence
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — PA certification preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain per facility policy)
- Comfortable providing direct patient care with attention to safety and dignity
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings per facility requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
- Basic clinical observations (vital signs, reporting changes)
- Infection prevention and proper use of PPE
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
